Our Beginnings

What started in 2017 as backyard workouts in a garage has grown into something much more powerful than we ever imagined. What began as a few neighborhood moms coming together has blossomed into a thriving, supportive community of individuals who choose to show up for themselves—and each other. At OHANA Fitness, we believe fitness is more than the physical—it’s about confidence, resilience, connection, and growth. (Ohana Fitness)



Why “OHANA”?

The word ohana means “family.” It’s not just a name for us—it’s our guiding principle. We wanted a space where people don’t feel judged, where they feel supported, and where everyone can grow together. Our mission is to turn these shared values into everyday action.


Meet Your Coach: Janae Reed

Behind OHANA is Coach Janae, whose passion for movement and connection has fueled this journey from day one. Her love for fitness started early—with dance, gymnastics, athletics, and fitness classes—and evolved into something much deeper over time.

In 2017, she began balancing a full-time job in pharmaceutical sales with early morning garage workouts. With just a few medicine balls, exposed rafters, and committed neighbors, Janae built OHANA from the ground up. (Ohana Fitness) In 2022, she took the leap to make OHANA her full-time mission. Today, she holds certifications in areas such as personal training, nutrition, women’s fitness, and more. (Ohana Fitness)

Outside of coaching, Janae treasures family time, cooking, reading, travel, and continuing her own fitness journey. Her vulnerability, commitment, and authenticity are the backbone of our culture.


What We Offer

At OHANA Fitness, we serve both in-person and online communities with purpose and heart. Our offerings include:

  • Group Classes — dynamic, flexible, and designed for all levels.

  • Remote Coaching — online fitness and nutrition support for clients near and far.

  • Nutrition Coaching — because what you fuel your body with matters almost as much as how you move.

  • Open Gym Access — for days when you want to do your own thing in a space that supports you.

We believe in flexibility. Whether you want in-person accountability or remote support, we meet you where you are.
